Professor Mike Case

Professor Mike Case 09 September 1941 – 21 October 2013

Mike Case joined the Adventure staff for the 1986 Adventure as HQ Chef/Cook at Driehoek – notwithstanding his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. He was Scout Master of 1st Stellenbosch at the time.

From that time onwards he rapidly became an integral member of the organising staff, ultimately laying the ground-work for the extensive Adventure radio network that still exists to this day.

Never satisfied, and always “tweeking” the system in an attempt to obtain the perfect comms. – it is his legacy.

His love of radio communications was only eclipsed by his passion for the Adventure and his beloved Cederberg.

Mike’s ashes are scattered around the campsite at Kliphuis.
