Garnet "Falcon" De La Hunt

“Falcon” de la Hun 25.08.1933– 28.04.2014

Former Chief Scout of South Africa and Chairman of the World Scout Committee. He was a scout in 1st Pinelands and the started 2nd Pinelands before going to work in Kitwe and then Namibia. On his return he became DC of CW 14 before moving through the ranks to Area Commissioner

Garnet assisted the Adventure in various rolls and also helped to enable the Adventures when he was the Area Commissioner for the Western Cape. He saw every problem as a challenge which had a solution if you tried hard enough.

Who may participate

Scout Patrols where all Scouts are over the age of 15 (barring very exceptional circumstances) but not yet turned 18 at the start of the Adventure, qualify to enter. Scouter Patrols where all adults are over the age of 18 are welcome to enter too.
